Bethel Ranch Retreat

Where is Bethel Ranch Located?

Bethel Ranch is located in the beautiful scenic mountains of Northern Jersey and is less than one hour from the New York Metropolitan area. It is a home for men in need of rest, recovery, and rehabilitation. We provide a peaceful haven where men live in a communal setting and learn to care for themselves and others.

What is Available on the Property?

Bethel Ranch sits on 20 acres of land in the woods of West Milford, New Jersey. The grounds are suitable for hiking, fishing, walking, and a variety of other outdoor recreational activities.
As you enter the property, you will see our prayer chapel where our weekly chapel services and Bible studies are held. There is a large dining hall where meals are served, group sessions are held, and special events occur. Two buildings hold the men’s living quarters, with private and semi-private rooms, recreational area, laundry facilities, and TV room.

Who Can Come to Bethel Ranch?

Bethel Ranch is Licensed by the state of New Jersey as a Class “E” home.
Bethel Ranch is for men ages 18 and up, regardless of race, creed or national origin. We provide a safe and sober living environment for those who are not ready to live on their own. Applicants must be able to provide for their own basic needs, including their medications, personal hygiene, finances, and laundry. They are guided in the basics of these through our staff and volunteers.

Men of different needs have come through the doors over the years. Those who are coping with divorce, emotional shock, after leaving a rehabilitation program, or just need extra support are just some examples of who would benefit from the program.

Referrals can be made by the individual, family members, minister, or social worker. Each individual is interviewed personally to ensure they will benefit from the program and feel welcomed in the established. communal environment. For additional placement information, see our Contact page. You can also download a copy of our Admissions paperwork and Resident Life Contract.

The Bethel Ranch Program

Each individual is responsible for their personal needs. They are asked to keep their room neat and tidy,as well as themselves. They are given food for the week and instructed on how to budget their allotment and prepare their meals. Everyone is assigned a daily chore that contributes to the community. They are assigned a day and given instructions on how to do their laundry. The men are assisted in maintaining a budget for their expenses and personal needs. Church services are held Tuesday nights and Bible studies on Thursday morning. Residents are encouraged to find employment and be involved in a local church.

We believe that giving an individual the skills for independent living and a strong spiritual foundation produces men who are confident and productive in their lives and have a positive impact on their society.
